We’re here to help you.

At Kawana Dental, we offer a comprehensive range of services to ensure you and your family receive the best care and can focus on the things that are important to you.

Smiling People

Ensuring a happy dental experience for your family throughout different phases of their life – early childhood, teens, adults, pregnancy and into the older years – is our aim at Kawana Dental.

Too many people are still dental phobics on the Sunshine Coast!

At Kawana Dental we go to a huge effort to ensure that kids will enjoy their experience with us.

We want to see happy kids, and stress free mums and dads!

The aim is to create kids (and adults) who have no reason to be scared or anxious about the dentist, and for visits to be easy for parents.

Invisalign makes it easy to straighten your teeth without metal bands, brackets, or wires.

Invisalign is a virtually invisible solution for straightening your teeth – so you can smile DURING, as well as after treatment.  In fact, no one will know you’re wearing them unless you tell them. By using a series of clear removable aligners, Invisalign straightens your teeth right before your eyes.

Orthodontics is a field of dentistry that deals with corrections involving jaw and teeth alignment.

There are several options for you to consider if you would like the “PERFECT SMILE”.

Kawana Dental has a range of techniques for nervous patients, some of which come under Medicare.

We prefer to build a trusting relationship over the use of drugs, but occasionally past dental experiences have created deep seated anxieties that need to be addressed. Sometimes a little help is required to help overcome these anxieties… at least until patients find out that our treatment is not as scary as they imagined!

Like it or not, a bright beautiful smile is increasingly important in today’s world.

Some people unfortunately are not blessed with naturally white bright teeth. Food and drink, smoking, as well as thinning of the enamel due to acids or ageing can all further darken teeth. Most people can restore a brighter smile with expert bleaching of the teeth.

Dental Implants have caused a revolutionary change in dentistry.

Implants are man-made replacements for teeth that have been lost. They behave just like real roots – even bonding naturally with the jawbone. We call this ‘osseointegration’. This simple surgery can transform your confidence and improve your looks.

Everyone knows that a beautiful smile opens all doors.

Cosmetic dentistry is all about appearance – making teeth whiter, straighter or more even, gums that are a healthy pink colour and smiles that sparkle.

When periodontal (gum) treatment or restoration procedures such as root canal therapy, crown and fillings have not begun early enough to save a tooth, it may need to be extracted.

Tooth extraction procedures today are far less painful than ever before, thanks to powerful anaesthetics and sedative procedures.

If you’ve been avoiding us, some of the below emergencies WILL eventually happen – the same happens if you never put oil in your car!

Follow the basic first aid steps below if you’re unfortunate enough to find yourself in a dental emergency. First things first, give us a call on 5444 7111 and speak to one of our receptionists to organise an appointment – or if it’s after hours leave a message.

Crowns are generally much stronger and longer lasting than fillings.

When a tooth is heavily filled, had root canal treatment, is badly broken or at risk of fracturing, a crown can rebuild it to good long-term function.

Root canal therapy has a very high rate of success (>90%).

In skilled hands, it is a non-painful procedure…. contrary to current urban myths!!

We take pride at Kawana Dental in reversing those myths and painlessly changing a diseased tooth surrounded by unhealthy bone into health.

Each year, thousands of adults and children are treated for dental injuries that could have been prevented or minimised by simply wearing a mouthguard.

The Australian Dental Association strongly recommends the use of a mouthguard in any sport or activity where collision or contact is likely, during both games and training. Dental injuries are often difficult to treat and can involve a lifetime of expense.

We understand that sometimes dental treatment can be expensive, and might present a barrier to treatment you want or need for you or your family.

We are happy to be able to offer payment plans for treatment, including orthodontics.

For orthodontics, our payment plans are “in-house” (or we offer a discount for treatment paid in full). For other types of treatment, such as implants, crowns, etc, we utilise a third party called Denticare.
