What are they?

Traditionally, the process of a dental crown requires two appointments with a two week turn around. You visit the practice, your tooth is prepared for a crown, and you are fitted with a temporary crown while an external laboratory mills your crown. After two weeks you then return to the practice for your crown to be cemented.

With CEREC crowns, this is now a thing of the past.

 

In today’s busy world, fewer visits are a much more convenient option. At Kawana Dental we now offer CEREC same-day crowns. Milled at the practice with the latest, high-quality materials, equipment and technology, you can walk out of the practice with a permanent crown in a single appointment.

 

Additionally, using CEREC technology, we take a scan of your teeth using an incredible intra-oral scanner to create a digital impression – no biting down into messy putty or goop is required!
