Dr Nancy Henein

Hi, I’m Nancy and I love working as a dentist. I find great satisfaction in helping people and doing my job with excellence.

I am determined to change the overall dental experience from typical dread to one of comfort and dare I say it, even enjoyment. Having people place their oral health needs in my care is a privilege that I don’t take for granted.

I graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2006 with First Class Honours in Dentistry. I was placed on the Dean’s Honours List and then awarded the William Leslie Elvins Medal for academic excellence.

I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, but I find my greatest passion lies in cosmetic dentistry, including complex rehabilitative dentistry. It is where I’ve witnessed the transformative effect that enhancing someone’s smile, or the ability to eat the foods they want, can have on their confidence and quality of life.

I have been fortunate enough to have worked at some of the top cosmetic dental surgeries in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, working alongside the best mentors, to deliver meticulous and conservative high-quality dentistry. And I aim to deliver the same alongside the wonderful team at Kawana Dental.

I like to adopt a holistic approach to dental care, recognising that our mouths are subjected daily to a multitude of factors at any one time. As a result, I have continually broadened my knowledge and skills through many hours of continuing education.

Some of my additional training includes a two-year mini-residency in orthodontics (teeth alignment) in 2015 and in 2017 completing my AADFA training in Dentofacial Rejuvenation and the application of muscle relaxants for the management of TMJ dysfunction (eg grinding/clenching of your teeth), as well as enhancing outcomes of cosmetic treatment. I’ve obtained further training in Sleep Dentistry to address issues of snoring and sleep apnoea, as well as Digital Dentistry and Minimally Invasive (Biomimetic) treatment options.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and daughter, the occasional glass of red wine over good conversation with friends, and staying fit through swimming.
